EPDP visits EWC liquified natural gas terminal in Pagbilao

On 26 July 2017, EPDP fellows and staff visited Energy World Corporation’s liquified natural gas (LNG) terminal in Pagbilao, Quezon Province. EPDP was generously invited by EWC and warmly welcomed by Project Director Mr. Wong Kin Pok and Project Coordinator Mr. John Anderson, who gave the group an overview of the project. They shared EWC’s focus of bringing LNG to Asia, their future plans and current developments, and their vision for LNG in the Philippines. The Pagbilao terminal is the first LNG terminal in the country and is intended to act as a hub for onward distribution of LNG throughout the Philippines.

After the overview, the group was given a site tour by some EWC staff, led by Mr. Wong, Mr. Anderson and Executive Committee Member Mr. Reynaldo Cabacungan. Afterwards, they had an open forum with EWC Managing Director and CEO Mr. Stewart Elliott, Executive Director Mr. Brian Allen, Mr. Wong, Mr. Anderson, Project Administrator Engr. Diana Dabu, and Technical Assistant Ms. Annaliza Catabay.
